Putting Health, Safety and Environmental concerns at the front is good for sustainable business in sustainable communities. However, many MSMEs operate in disregard of these concerns. This course on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) particularly designed to equip MSME owners and managers with the knowledge and practices necessary to ensure the well-being of employees, the community, and the environment. The course explores the essential principles of workplace safety, health regulations, and environmentally responsible practices tailored to the specific context of Uganda. Participants will learn how to establish and maintain safe work environments, comply with local HSE regulations, and implement sustainable environmental practices. Through practical case studies and interactive exercises, trainees will emerge prepared to prioritize the health and safety of their workforce, minimize environmental impact, and align their MSMEs with ethical, legal, and sustainable practices that contribute to long-term business success and social responsibility in Uganda.
