COMPANY REGISTRATION
For many Micro and Small enterprise owners, formal registration of businesses remains a mystery. They end up being fleeced by unnecessary “brokers”. Moreover, many do not fully understand the responsibility that comes with a formal status. So they end up in avoidable trouble with Uganda Revenue Authority and other authorities. This one-day course is designed to provide Micro, Small and Medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners and managers with a comprehensive understanding of the company registration process in Uganda, as provided by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). It covers the key steps and requirements for registering a business entity, including the different types of business structures available, legal compliance, documentation, and registration fees. Participants will learn how to navigate the URSB's registration system, understand the rights and responsibilities associated with registered companies, and gain insights into the benefits of formalizing their businesses. Through practical guidance, illustrations and real-world examples, trainees will emerge well-prepared to initiate and successfully complete the company registration process with minimal assistance, ensuring that their enterprises operate legally and transparently in Uganda's business landscape.
